This is designed to educate and give caregivers strategies, skills and tools to understand the child in their care, to improve effective communication and behavior, and to learn skills to teach emotional regulation.
Caregivers are given the opportunity to learn the skills and tools to increase emotional intelligence and academic success in the child in their care by passing on the knowledge and skills to the child in order for the child to self-regulate, verbalize their thoughts and feelings, and to maintain a healthy functioning brain.
Topics covered include (but are not limited to) reflection, behavioral states, emotional regulation, behavioral management, non-verbal & verbal communication, activities that encourage learning and growth, and brain development.
