BBC Micro:bit board is an open development board for students to learn coding.

 

Using the JavaScript Blocks Editor, you will be able to program all sorts of cool creations, from musical instruments to robots. In the end of this course, students will be able to code and build their own creation using JavaScript Blocks.

At the end of this course, participants will bring their own designed guitar home.

What you learn

  • Understand basic coding on micro:bit Board
  • Learn coding concepts, e.g. repeat loop, conditional statement
  • Learn how to program the sensors on the board to interact with the environment.
  • Learn block programming with JavaScript Blocks Editor on micro:bit board
  • Make and design game applications on BBC micro:bit

Requirements​

  • Some programming experience is required
  • Bring your own laptop with charger and pre-installed Google Chrome browser
