Brown Sugar Arts

Brown Sugar Arts is a space for creativity, a space for experimentation, growth, risks, mistakes and fun.

Brown Sugar Arts have designed workshops in hopes to inspire and encourage children and adults alike to let go of what’s right and what’s perfect, instead to embrace the wonderful with curiousity. Let your imagination run free, share your stories, and express yourself! Workshops are led by Falmouth University, UK graduates, Michelle and Rosa. Both illustrators and designers by profession and passion. Michelle captures and illustrates the ordinary everyday objects and situations with slightly strange narratives, curious anecdotes, slivers of information and fragmentations. On the other hand, Rosa is more conceptual - illustrating the world we don't live in, transporting you to the surreal, abstract and dreamy world of her imaginations.

Workshops are loosely structured into 6 categories to reflect the different learning outcomes aim to achieve, as seen below:

  • Illustration
  • Drawing
  • Creative problem solving
  • Creative
  • Experimental
  • Skill-building
