Getting Ahead Public Speaking open to: 9-11yrs / 12-14yrs / 15-18yrs
Public speaking can be a powerful tool to use for purposes such as motivation, influence, persuasion, informing, translation, or simply entertaining. The HKIS Public speaking Summer Course offers practical advice in all areas of presentation skills including body language, speech writing and debating as well as prepared and impromptu performance. This very interactive, popular and dynamic camp is exciting and fun for everyone from the naturally outgoing, to the strong silent types. Even people not very comfortable with standing up in front of the group will leave the program filled with confidence and courage.

Dr Seuss Speech. Drama & Communication Workshop open to: 3-4yrs / 5-6yrs
Based on the works of Dr. Seuss, they combine many of the author’s characters and stories into one through a riveting plotline. The Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Jojo, Gertrude McFuzz, and Mayzie La Bird are just a few of many Seuss characters that we will bring to life through script and creative writing.

Join them on a terrific week of fun as they explore the witty and whacky world of Roald Dahl. Through storytelling, creative writing and fun scripts you will meet some of Dahl’s most fantastical characters and bring them to life in a short performance at the end of the week.

Acting Bootcamp Acting Masterclass Series open to: 11-13yrs / 14+ yrs
Want to learn how to act? Join them for a week of fun drama games, improvisation and scriptwork as they explore how to create character, develop voice techniques and build on your acting skills in a fun and creative environment.

Dance Intensive Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary & Choreography open to: 7-10yrs / 11-13yrs / 14+ yrs
Join them for their dance extravaganza! Each day they will explore a core dance discipline: ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary and choreographic techniques. The course will be taught by professional dancers who will help students develop technique, flexibility, musicality and artistry. The end of the week will culminate in a short demonstration for family and friends.

"The sun will come out, tomorrow"... and every day on their fantastic Annie Easter workshop! Come with them as they discover 1930s New York through the eyes of the orphan Annie and her friends (and possibly even Sandy the dog!). They will sing, act and dance their way through this lively and upbeat musical, whilst learning valuable performance skills.

Sing, rap and move your way through these challenging and exciting songs, delve into the script, whilst gaining competitive professional skills along the way!
Matilda Musical Theatre Workshop open to: 7-10yrs
Ever wondered what it would be like to have mysterious magical powers and challenge the mighty Miss Trunchbull? Then come along and be part of an acting ensemble and immerse yourself in the adventures of mischievous Matilda. Using a variety of toe-tapping musical numbers and engaging script work, they will explore communication skills and performance techniques through voice, expression and physicality as they delve into their imaginations. Put your new skills into practice at the end of the week in a confident and creative musical performance for family and friends!

This musical extravaganza will transports you from the Jungle of Nool to the invisible world of the Who and capture your imagination.

Leading children's Casting Director, Jo Hawes visits them from the UK. Jo Hawes has worked as a casting director 23 years and has cast over 100 West End and touring productions including Les Miserables, Matilda, Miss Saigon, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Mary Poppins.
