Misty and wet, Ngong Ping is a plateau on the mountain with verdant trees growing on the fertile soil. It offers a spectacular view of the rugged mountain range in the distance. Intermingled with a few rural village houses, monasteries and temples, it is one of the three main Buddhist sacred places in Hong Kong with the presence of two well-known tourist attractions, the Tian Tan Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. Visitors will truly find Ngong Ping a great countryside scenic spot that can enjoy sightseeing, nature education and religious culture.
