Although known for its skyscrapers, Hong Kong is also home for a rich variety of dragonflies.
A total number of 123 dragonfly species, including 2 endemic species, have now been recorded from Hong Kong. Perhaps you have never taken time to explore this extraordinary insect in Hong Kong. Now is the time to appreciate and cherish them. Through this tour, we wish more people would become aware that Hong Kong is not just a cramped city of skyscrapers. Over the winding streams that pass through dense woodlands of our Country Parks and in open marshlands in the New Territories, there are many "winged jewels" fluttering around, which require our sustaining efforts in their conservation.
