The show is a perfect platform for primary and secondary school students to demonstrate their interest and achievement in learning Chinese. It helps strengthen schools’ Chinese programme, enhance their understanding of Chinese culture and build friendship among participating students and schools.

Competition Groups:
For Individual Events, there are 2 competition groups: “Native Chinese Speakers” and “Non-native Chinese Speakers”. Each group is further divided into different age groups. For Group Events, participants are grouped according to their age only.
- Native Chinese Speakers
Parents are of Chinese origin and use Chinese as their first language
- Non-native Chinese Speakers
One or both parents are of non-Chinese origin, or both parents do not use Chinese as their first language
