Fairchild Junior Academy (FJA) based in Tin Hau, Hong Kong is an inquiry-based education centre with a focus on play, for children aged 6 months to 4 years.
Guided by educational frameworks from British Columbia and Ontario (Canada) as well as the UK, we offer a Reggio Emilia inspired approach to learning, focusing on the development of the whole child through play.
Fairchild Junior Academy(FJA) occupies the entire top floor of the Park Commercial Centre in Tin Hau with open views of Victoria Park and Harbour. We have created purpose-built classrooms for our students to experience the natural elements of wood, water, sand, soil and sunlight with floor-to-ceiling windows, large aquarium\terrarium, planting garden, sand and water tables, a treehouse playground and a discovery loft.
FJA is the first step in our ambitious plan to develop schools to provide a through train school system to include Kindergartens and Primary to Grade 12. We propose that students start at Fairchild as early as 6 months old and be part of a Fairchild school until high school graduation, providing continuity and alleviating the need for multiple applications to playgroups, kindergartens, primary schools and secondary schools. How to get there?
Island Line MTR to Tin Hau. Exit to Kings Road and cross King's Road at traffic lights. Turn right, passing Starbucks and access slip roads to and from Tin Hau Temple Road. Turn left onto Tung Lo Wan Road. Park Commercial Centre in on the corner next to Marketplace. Take escalator to Level 1 for lift access.
