What's on your bucket list for a cool and creative family activity over the weekend? Get ready for some fun coding adventures as a family before school term starts!

We’re introducing our very first First Code Family Day that should definitely top your bucket list! This event is designed to introduce fundamental computer science concepts.
Whether you are new to coding or an avid programmer, you are welcome to join and take part in our First Code Family Day! Pair up with your child to create a mobile app and present by end of day your final work or join as a family to form a team and compete in a Robotics Race.

This Family Day is for families with kids Ages 6-8 or 9-14.

Parent-child AppInventor Workshop (Age 9-14)

Suitable for: A parent(s) with a child age 9-14
Duration: 90 minutes
Highlight: Families will walk away with a completed mobile app!

Applying Design Thinking process to utilizing AppInventor as a language, we guide students to apply problem solving skills to their daily lives. Adapting a curriculum used in Silicon Valley, we cover user-centric design and mobile app development. Students receive personal guidance from our professional trained instructors in thinking through algorithms, decomposing problem and formulating multiple solutions.

The workshop covers

Introduction to computer programming, algorithms and basic logic controls
Creating first app and familiarizing with App Inventor

This workshop finishes with a complete mobile app which you can bring home with your child

*Please note, for each ticket it will be for 1 workshop per family. And the ticket fee will be refunded when you sign up to a First Code Camp/Term class
