Paddington, the British bear known and loved by all, has set its sights on visiting the Hong Kong Gold Coast this winter. You’ll find Paddington at both the Piazza and Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel, bringing everyone a joyous British yuletide.
To celebrate this festive season, the courtyard of the Piazza will transform into a London Christmas street. Paddington will bring along Routemaster, an eye-catching, 2-meter-tall classic double-decker from London, a floral swing chair, and a classic red round post box, ensuring families and friends get to spend the most authentic British Christmas! Gold Coast Piazza will also play host to a traditional London Christmas celebration, “The Great Christmas Pudding Race”, for the first time in Hong Kong. The little runners have to complete an obstacle race carrying a Christmas pudding prop! Shoppers who spend a specified amount in the Piazza can redeem the Paddington Christmas edition travel neck pillow, and make the cute bear your best travel companion!
To celebrate Paddington’s 60th anniversary, Gold Coast Piazza has teamed up with Paddington for the first time this Christmas. Visit the Piazza to find the Paddington town, where you can take selfies with Paddington in front of a British double-deck bus, get a Paddington Christmas postmark at the special Post Office and enjoy the dazzling lights and snow flurries with Paddington Bear sitting on the floral swing!
Every year in early December, Londoners celebrate Christmas by participating in “The Great Christmas Pudding Race”. This year, Piazza will bring this happy race to Gold Coast and invite kid-runners to join. Participants have to race around an obstacle course with four checkpoints carrying a Christmas pudding. The energetic marching band features groups of percussionists, drummers who will be drumming their way through Christmas tunes. Each marching band member will don on a traditional performance uniform, a high-top hat, and march and play around Gold Coast Piazza. With different formations and movements, it’s certainly shaping up to be a rhythmical Christmas.
Ho, ho, ho It's Christmas and Santa Claus, with his unmistakable laugh, is coming to you! From 23rd to 26th December, from 3pm to 5pm, Santa Claus will show up at the Piazza, sharing sweets and well wishes to all who have been good, pushing the festive spirits into new heights!
From 19th November 2018 to 1st January, 2019, Paddington lovers who spend HK$600 or above on the same day from two shops at the Gold Coast Piazza, or restaurants in Hong Kong Gold Coast Hotel, will able to redeem a Paddington Christmas edition travel neck pillow for free.
Always in his signature duffle coat, old red hat and his little suitcase, the kind-hearted Paddington Bear is bringing joy and love to all the children here throughout the festive period. The footprint of the much-loved bear can also be found throughout the hotel – from the city’s first Paddington themed rooms, to an impressive 2-meter tall Paddington Plush Toy Christmas Tree at the lobby and a gigantic suitcase photo spot at the outdoor garden, they are all great locations for you to create memorable moments and family portraits this Christmas.
