This year Green Monday in collaboration with Green Atrium has organized a serious of wonderful activities for you and your Little Ones.
Workshops
- Banana Tattoo Art
Forget real tattoos, you can carve in tattoos directly on banana skin instead! After carving, you can eat the banana right away. Compost bins are also available so you can turn the waste into organic fertilizer!

- Upcycling Cloth Arts & Crafts
Don’t look down on how useful a single piece of cloth can be! When you sew them right, you can turn them into beautiful little crafts. Rather than simply using textile waste as old cloth rags, get your kids to learn how to make cute owl dolls, and appreciate how we can upcycle and reuse the simplest of materials.

- Cartoonist Portraits
Get your very own family portrait for the day. Local artists will show off their talent and draw you and your family’s portrait on-site. Sessions every 30 minutes from 2pm-6pm. Spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please sign up to secure a spot.
- Fun Story Clips
You can turn a clothing pin into an adorable story clip. Let your children learn how a butterfly is transformed from a pupa! Sessions every 60 minutes from 2:30pm-6pm. Spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please sign up to secure a spot.
- Rainbow Arts & Crafts
Bees and butterflies play important roles in our ecosystem. Come and join us to learn more about these little insects and create your own rainbow arts and crafts! Sessions every 60 minutes from 2pm-6pm. Spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please sign up to secure a spot.
Day Activities
- [mamaswap] Event
“One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”
Bring your second-hand objects to the [ mamaswap ] corner and exchange for points on the day. Use your points to and take home other ‘new’ second hand objects! No cash is involved in this process.
[ mamaswap ] – How to collect Points?
- Submit your second hand item(s) at the [mamaswap] corner and you will receive points which you can use to swap with any other items on display.
- Points will be assessed by [ mamaswap ] staff according to the degree of torn-out.
- Maximum 3 items will be submitted to get a maximum of 200 points.
- Items accepted for swapping (in mint and functioning condition, at least 70% new and within the size of 50 X 50 X50 CM): *Toys *Baby Products *Homeware * Small electrical Appliances *Books *Stationery *Professional Instruments such as cameras, music instruments etc.
- Human Powered Track Racing
This is a competition to use your own pedal power to race cars! It’s a fun yet exciting game to spark children’s interest towards bicycles, and gradually introducing a green lifestyle.
- Bike Show
Bikes can be stylish, environmentally-friendly and even sophisticated. Sponsored by G.U.M., a range of bikes such as STRIDA, Vanmoof, and the Sandwich bike will be displayed. The Wishbone Balance bike, which focuses on children’s natural physical development will also be showcased and available for trial.
The Green Atrium Nature Tour
The Green Atrium professional tour guide will lead children to explore the cycle of the nature: from the butterfly garden and bee farm, Aquaponic Pond to organic farm and 5D Visual Audio Gallery. Your children will learn about sustainability and environmental protection through playing and laughing.

Marketplace
There will be a mini market area on the 1/F of The Green Atrium, with a variety of green snacks and fresh organic vegetables at the event. There will also be upcycled tote bags on sale. Plenty of explore on the day!

How to get there?
Complimentary shuttle bus transportation will be provided between Yuen Long MTR station Exit H close to Long Ming Street and The Green Atrium.
Visitors are advised to arrive at the pick-up point 5 to 10 minutes before the departure time.
