Pixar 30 Years of Animation: Hong Kong Celebration of Friendship and Family

Founded in 1986 in California, USA, Pixar Animation Studios combines art and technology to create original stories in the medium of computer animation.

The exhibition features a fine selection of traditional artwork in various media, including hand-drawn sketches, paintings, storyboards and sculptures, created by the artists at Pixar Animation Studios as they contribute to the development process for each film. Every shape, colour and line in the artwork is designed to convey the desires, heartache, sadness, joy and love of the characters and the story they inhabit.

Together with the purposely produced videos of artists' interviews that give visitors a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how they came up with story ideas, the exhibition offers a rare and unique opportunity to experience the craftsmanship and creative process behind Pixar's wildly successful and beloved films that touch the hearts of children and adults all over the world.
