Transformation from the Wan Chai Livelihood Place to the Hong Kong House of Stories
Holding the objectives of "Where traditions are conserved and diverse cultures converge", Wan Chai Livelihood Place strives to arouse public concern on the regional and cultural conservation through diverse and interactive ways.
Since 2007, the Place has organized more than 20 exhibitions on local culture.
Community Classroom:
In 2011, were launched the "Community Classroom” to bring a break through to the traditional top-down and vocational skills-based learning approach. HKHS invited traditional craftsmen, young artists, organic farmers and housewives as instructors to pass on the culture and craft skills of the old community.
