For their annual performance this year, Youth Troupe will present this comedy classic by master playwright Molière in a lively way, hoping to bring fun to the audience.
The Imaginary Invalid is written by the French playwright, Molière in the 17th century. It satirizes people’s blind faith in medical solutions and ridicules the "fake" doctors who only care about money and ignore the health of the people. The story concerns a vulgar rich and hypochondriac landlord, Argan who forces his daughter, Angélique to marry a doctor in order to have better treatments and reduce his medical bills. The situation is worsened when the stepmother, Béline plans to send Angélique to a convent in order to remove her from the line inheritance. With the help of the quick-witted servant, Toinette, the hypocrisy is exposed.
