Michail Lifits, who is rapidly gaining international attention with his captivating musicality, will join hands with Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Music Director Yip Wing-sie in the opening of the orchestra’s 2018/2019 season, performing Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No 3.
Michail Lifits was the winner of the 57th International Ferrucio Busoni Piano Competition. Since then he has performed in many of the world’s major musical centers, including Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, Philharmonie in Berlin, Herkulessaal and Philharmonie in Munich, Laeiszhalle in Hamburg, Sala Verdi in Milan, Tonhalle in Zurich, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels.
Programme also includes the world première of Hong Kong Composer Chan Kai-young’s new work, and Berlioz’s Symphonie Fantastique.
