Enjoy the city’s most spectacular fireworks show yet over Victoria Harbour and usher in 2018 with all the excitement and glamour of a Hong Kong celebration!

A party atmosphere will take over the entire city on New Year’s Eve as throngs of cheering revellers take part in the exciting countdown celebrations to welcome the new year. Hong Kong is known for its impressive firework displays, and this year, the city will present its most spectacular New Year celebrations yet.

When the clock ticks down to midnight, a musical fireworks show will light up Hong Kong’s skies, exploding in a radiant shower of lights to illuminate beautiful Victoria Harbour.

Wish Upon a Star

Make a wish upon a pyrotechnic star and get your new year off to a great start. Beginning at 11pm at 15-minute intervals, rooftops around the harbour will emit a series of ‘shooting stars’. So, when you see them, make a wish and it just might come true!

Musical Fireworks

As the hour strikes, watch as the brilliant 2018 display illuminates the iconic harbour. For the very first time, fireworks from a multi-award-winning European maker will be incorporated into the display, so keep an eye out for the spell-binding glamour as the show erupts from Hong Kong’s waterfront and surrounding skyscrapers!

Don’t forget to plan early to ensure a prime spot! Come earlier at 8pm to the harbourfront area near Hong Kong Cultural Centre and enjoy truly magical moments with a dual multimedia extravaganza — A Symphony of Lights and Hong Kong Pulse Light Show!
