2018 Hong Kong Youth Music Camp Concerts



Striking summer fun featuring Chinese and Western classics

 

The Hong Kong Youth Music Camp is one of the most significant annual summer events organised by the Music Office, encompassing around 400 young musicians and inspirational rehearsals, masterclasses and workshops hosted by internationally renowned maestros.

Musical groups at this year’s camp include Chinese Orchestra, Junior String Orchestra, Children’s Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Junior Chinese Orchestra and Junior Symphonic Band, with guidance provided by conductors Sun Peng (Mainland), Kirk Trevor (USA), Dr Barbara Tagg (USA), Paul Nadler (USA), Peng Fei (Mainland) and Lin Shih Wei (Taiwan).

In a grand finale, two exhilarating concerts will showcase the achievements of the camp’s participants under the batons of the celebrated conductors.

  • Approx. 2 hours with an intermission of 15 minutes
  • Best for ages 6 and above
  • Children under the age of 6 will not be admitted
  • 22.7 (Sun) 3pm  Featuring the Chinese Orchestra, Junior String Orchestra and Children’s Choir
  • 29.7 (Sun) 3pm  Featuring the Symphony Orchestra, Junior Chinese Orchestra and Junior Symphonic Band
