J Life Foundation Limited is set up to help low income and single parent families in Hong Kong, primarily in Sham Shiu Po area where there is a high concentration of low income families.
The charity applies to food banks and commercial organisations for surplus food, such as hotels and bakeries for redistribution to families in need.
The charity also aims to help these disadvantages families to help themselves. One of the ways is to provide free tuition services for primary school children (age 6-12) for these families so that they can cope with their school work and have a better future.
J Life Foundation is now helping over 150 families and providing food to more than 20,000 individuals in need around the same area.
