This cooking workshop will be a great opportunity for your child to pick up some basic cooking skills in prepare, bake and decorate a selection of Christmas cartoon themed craquelin choux pastries,
as well as develop patience, self confidence and independence in a hands-on, safe and fun kitchen setting.
These are no ordinary cream puffs. The extra cookie crust on top adds additional crunch, coupled with Christmas themed designs and assorted fillings make them not just fun to look at but also delicious to eat.
Hands-on practical:
- Prepare and bake choux puffs
- Crunchy cookie craquelin topping
- 3 designs (snowman, cartoon bear and Christmas tree)
Fillings. 3 homemade fillings will be provided:
- Original pastry cream
- Chocolate pastry cream
- Strawberry pastry cream
- Dark and white chocolate/candies/nuts for garnish
Course fee includes all ingredients, 9 choux puffs in 3 different designs to take home (please bring takeaway boxes), plus 2 pastry piping and decorating tips for your child to recreate the recipes at home.
Participants:
- 5 years or above,
- 5 to 12 year old child accompanied by 1 adult*
- 13 years old can be joined alone
*One extra participant can be added to each adult-child pair at an additional fee of $100 (on the basis that only 1 set of ingredients will be provided). All adults must take care of their accompanying children.
