Jumbo Kids Theatre

Jumbo Kids Theatre

Jumbo Kids Theatre is a professional children’s theatre group founded in 1999.

Currently it is a three-year grantee funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council. In 2008, the group established "Hong Kong Children's Arts Alliance Company Limited" with the association of other four Hong Kong Children Arts groups and successfully joined the Venue Partnership Scheme of Shatin Town Hall.

In addition to bringing entertainment to children, it has enriched the lives of children with drama and helped adults recall the childhood salves that they have long forgotten. Jumbo Kids Theatre has successfully created a series of characters – Toasty, Ah Lam, Ah Lui, 2 in 1, Little-star, Ming, Cousin Wai, Smiley and Nam Nam – that have become a hallmark team in our repertory. With the unique half masks, those stock characters stimulate the minds and imagination of young audience through performances. Furthermore, they have another series of performance named "Children's Literature Series", the aim of this series is to accelerate the atmosphere of parent-child reading in our community. They will create some children show without language to explore infinitive possibilities in children art form.
