Visit Kadoorie Farm and Botanic Garden and learn all about White Dragontail.
Found only in South and South-east Asia, the White Dragontail is the smallest species of the Swallowtail butterflies. It is mainly black, with transparent forewings. Its hindwings have elongated tails which give the butterfly its highly distinctive appearance. It gets its name from its flight pattern which is similar to a dragonfly, with the forewings beating rapidly. It prefers moist vegetated areas such as stream side vegetation.
