We invite you to experience a transformative journey of using wood debris to craft unique wood products of your choice with us. You will visit our wood workshop, learn about different wood recycling methods and get hands-on experience using hand tools to craft raw wood chunks into kalimba, serving platter, desktop organiser or mallet.
To complete your journey, our instructor will lead a relaxing tree walk in the Lower Farm area to let you open your hearts, listen and be alive to nature.
Content
- Morning session
Introduction course of hand tools handling and woodwork demonstration. You will make your own wood product from recycled wood pieces under the guidance of our experienced carpenters.
- Lunch
You can bring your own food, or order vegetarian lunch with us.
- Afternoon session
A guided Tree Walk lead by our instructors. You will walk around the lower farm area to make friends with local tree species and experience our connection with mother nature.
- Wood Product Options: Natural Serving Platter / Wooden Mallet / Desktop Organizer (pick 1 option)
- Date: Monday to Saturday (not available on public holidays)
- Duration: Whole day 10:00-16:00 (adjustable according to the needs of the applicants)
- Course Fee: $500 per person (min. 8 people) (30% off for registered schools & charity organisations)
- Capacity: 8-15 people (If more than 15 people, participants will be divided into 2 classes on the same day)
- Target Audience: 16 years old or above

- Instructors: Mr. Snoopy Lo
Mr. Lo was a retired Geography teacher who joined KFBG as a volunteer for over a decade. He is passionate about wood crafting and possesses rich experience in teaching. Snoopy is now a woodwork instructor in KFBG, responsible for educating the public on recycling wood.
