Build a Smart Robot Vehicle with Recycled Bottles


This workshop shows a creative way to upcycle the trash to construct their own smart car that intelligently steers around obstacles and fundamentals concept of electronics and motors. Learning how to program and wire an Arduino is an invaluable skill that is used in all sorts of modern robotics.

Day 1

  • Part 1 - Introduction to Coding & Electronics: Learn Basic Coding & Electronics, Controlling Motors
  • Part 2 - Design: Design a vehicle with Recycle Bottle, Construct a vehicle with limited resources

Day 2

  • Part 1 - Using Sensors and Problem Solving: Introduction to Distance Sensor (Ultrasonic sensor), Using distance sensor and decision making, Application of Distance Sensor
  • Part 2 - Putting all together, Coding for Object detection / Object avoidance

In this course, students will learn:

  • Develop logical thinking & Problem solving skills
  • Understand the fundamental of electronics, motors and physic behind it
  • Learn how to do coding
  • Using motors and servos
  • Creating with recycled materials

Student will take home:

  • Smart Robot Vehicle with Arduino Board
  • Project & Coding files
