Chinese New Year Cultural Extravaganza

Chinese New Year Cultural Extravaganza

  • Chinese New Year Cultural Extravaganza

Olympian City presents Chinese New Year Cultural Extravaganza, turning the Atrium into an old Chinese street with oriental elements such as shops made from wood with red tile roofs, a small footbridge over a lily pond, lines of hanging red lanterns and a flowering peach blossom tree. You may also visit the Lunar New Year market, or try on different styles of hanfu, or enjoy the Chinese classical music performance.

  • Hanfu and Painting Display ( 27.01 - 28.02. 2021, 12pm - 9pm)

While some people like to dress the part during Lunar New Year by adding a Chinese touch to their outfit, hanfu, or traditional clothing worn by Han Chinese, is an integral part of the deeply rooted Chinese culture. Many different styles of hanfu had appeared throughout history, and some of them will be displayed at the Chinese New Year Cultural Extravaganza where tour guide will introduce each characteristic and the historical background.

On the other hand, New Year-themed paintings by multi-media artist Water Poon and ink artist TK Chan will be also exhibited.
