Worn Story Exhibition

Worn Story Exhibition

It is not uncommon to odorn precious gemstones and historic jewels with admiration, but beyond carats and hallmarks, the sentimental attachments of a piece can bear much greater significance. Who is it that embeds such value?

Through the passing of time with its owner an objects becomes endowed with an indescribable value; it may be a symbol, a promise or a memory, so precious that even a rough stone pendant can be extremely precious.

Each ornament speaks of the culture and zeitgeist in which it was made. It is a trace only possible by the passing of time. In many works lie the inheritance and blessings from ones family. Behind each piece is a story interwoven from both its creator and owner. When you lay out jewelleries that you possess, you will find that they link together forming a blueprint that conveys your most precious secrets, dreams and promises.

In order to explore the more intangible aspects of jewellery design, Obellery Gallery has collaborated with the photographer and film director of《LOUISE》Stephenie Kay. Capturing fascinating stories from over 30 participants of different backgrounds. Here we proudly presents to you untold stories that people hold dearest to. Hoping this exploratory journey may inspire you in some way.
