We cordially invite you to participate in "Fireflies Gathering in Micro City" - a community collaboration art installation inspired by the "Neon Continued" exhibition. This workshop was conceived and led by Color My World, aiming for family members to create together. Children aged 6 or above are welcome to join in with their grandparents or parents in pairs to reminisce about the neon era of Hong Kong!
In order to pay tribute to the legendary neon masters of the 70s and 80s, we will decorate the model of the paper art building with fluorescent lights and neon lights. The neon buildings created by each participant will become part of the collaborative installation art of "Firefly Gathering Micro City". With the step-by-step development of installation art, the cohesion of community cooperation has also been greatly enhanced, and an exciting neon city is gradually presented in front of us. Hong Kong's urban landscape is ever-changing, and the display cabinets of "Firefly Gathering Micro City" are all the same, and the old works will be replaced with new models. Participants will also design an additional art souvenir that can be taken home during the workshop.
