Hang Seng-CA Eco-Rangers 2021 Healing Hills

In times of pandemic, there has been a trend of hiking. We look forward to your participation in our hill clean-up events!

Date & Time: 3/10/2021 (Sunday) 8:30am-12:30pm

Route (Tentative): The Peak > Pinewood Battery > Lung Fu Shan > HKU

Application: Donation of >=HK$300* per participant

Age limit: Ages 5-17 must be accompanied by parent/legal guardian. Ages 4 and under not admitted.

Highlights of the route:

-The route is mainly paved and features sightseeing spots of HK’s iconic night view and historical remains from the colonial-era

-Pinewood Battery and remains of old forts, situate near Hatton Road and command a high vantage point at 307 metres above sea level, received a Grade II conservation status in 2009

-The Pinewood Picnic Site nearby has a rain shelter and barbecue stoves and a heritage trail has been created on the site to introduce its history

-This military relic is preserved within the protected realm of the country park but some people misuse it as a spot for wargaming and many plastic BB bullets which harm the ecological environment are still found on the site

Event Details:

•Every participant will be awarded an Eco-Rangers VFE99.9% Re-mask reusable mask, a Natural Made Reusable Cutlery Set, a Lexngo Reusable Drinking Straw, a PROTREK e-Coupon and opportunities to gain more green gifts by joining online SNS campaigns. •Participants are required to travel to the gathering location on their own. CA will provide an introduction of the route, hill clean-up tools and professional guidance on recycling.

•Participants will be divided into groups of 4^. Each group will be awarded a route map, hill clean-up guidebook and record sheet, tongs x 2, gloves x 4 pairs and collection bags for recycling.
