Make Toys for Kids with Special Needs

Make Toys for Kids with Special Needs

Cause Corps are introducing a new micro-volunteering project - making wool needle-felted toys for kids with special needs at The Society for the Relief of Disabled Children.
You are going to be making needle-felted toys for the Annual Fair at The Duchess of Kent Children's Hospital at Sandy Bay. Learn how to make needle-felted toys with a friendly group of volunteers. You will be provided you with guidance and all materials, so all you'll need to bring is yourself.

Special Note: This is a FREE micro-volunteering activity. RSVP here to secure your spot. Due to limited spaces, maximum of only 8 spots is available. If you are unable to attend after you have RVSP'd, please change your status of RVSP to ‘NO’ at least 48 hours before the event date to let other volunteers to join.

Every child has the right to live happy and fulfilling lives and The Society for the Relief of Disabled Children strives for a world in which disadvantaged children can grow fulfilled lives and contribute to society and realize their full potential.

SRDC is committed to:
• Promoting awareness of equality and freedom from discrimination in the community
• Improving the children's physical health by sponsoring medical, surgical and rehabilitation services
• Caring for their psychological wellbeing and mental mindset and by empowering them with love and care

What time should I arrive?
This is a micro-volunteering event which means that you have the choice to volunteer however much time you like between the start and end times - it's entirely up to you! Mingle, chat, and socialise with other enthusiastic people whilst doing an act of good. You're also welcome to make a toy first at home or wherever convenient and drop them off to us here.
