What does a conductor actually do?
A perpetual question which even orchestral musicians cannot really answer. Are they just counting the bars? Or are they the soul of the music? How do they communicate with the musicians? How do they communicate with the composers (especially if they are not around anymore…) Actor/composer Micah Sandt decides to ask Hong Kong Sinfonietta’s Music Director Yip Wing-sie, and clarify everything, once and for all!
