Twinkle Dance Company invites your beloved child to perform at our annual showcase!

From the first rehearsal class to the final bow, we will make every part of your child’s dancing dreams come true with this invaluable opportunity. Dressing in your own custom-made costumes, wearing stage-ready hair and make-up, watching others perform whilst waiting backstage, finally dancing with your friends onstage with mommy, daddy and families’ cheers and applause. All these enchanting moments will write an unforgettable episode in your children’s childhood.

We are thrilled to announce the theme of Twinkle Dance Showcase 2019, Sleeping Beauty. The storyline stretches beyond classic scenes like the fairies’ blessings, the prince’s fight against the dragon and ballroom dancing. As the princess pricks her finger on a spindler, she will fall into a deep sleep, one long enough to offer her a glimpse of a life as anyone else, but a princess. Who will she be and what will she do? A talented musician, a lawyer fighting for justice, or a mother dedicating herself to take care of her children. Dreams have no limits!

Twinkle Dance is recognized for our devotion in participating in charity events and serving the community. Part of this year’s show income will be donated to support Orbis to transform lives by delivering the skills, resources and knowledge needed to deliver accessible quality eye care worldwide. We are delighted to support this meaningful cause and improve lives of more children in need.

All performers will be able to experience the following:

Custom Made Costume

Each child who applies will receive a lot more than just a performance. For the show they will get a custom made costume designed by Tutulamb which they can also keep after the show. We know how much they love to dress up and trust me every year our children adore their costumes from brightly coloured tutus to sparkling glittery head pieces.

Professional Photoshoot

They will also get to take part in a professional photoshoot at our Twinkle Dance studio. This is where we can capture their best dance moves in their fantastic costumes. A perfect way to capture their little dancing moments.

Professional Stage Experience

All of these are just small events which lead up to the big one, the show! The place where your shining star gets to perform on a professional stage in front of all their loved ones. Each year our kids have so much fun and get a great confidence boost from their praising audience and proud parents.

Show Video & Photobook

In the end we also give you the video of the entire show! The Show Photobook is optional, you can order them during show application to receive an early bird discount. It displays more than 300 backstage and stage photos taken by professional photographers during the performance.

Theater Workshops & On-Stage Repertoire

A series of workshops will get our students a more enriched experience for this showcase! Showcase performers will receive discount rate on these workshops.

1. SLEEPING BEAUTY CNY THEATRE AND MAKEUP WORKSHOPS:
From storytelling to makeup, these workshops are here to help everyone get “stage-ready” for the showcase. We will first introduce everyone to the story of Sleeping Beauty and incorporate different elements of this fairy tale into fun dance exercises. Then students will have a chance to learn how to apply dramatic stage, theatre makeup and get tips to fix the perfect hairstyles. Both Ballet and Jazz students are welcomed to join.

2. SLEEPING BEAUTY ON-STAGE BALLET REPERTOIRE WORKSHOPS:
(AGE 6+, BIRTHDAYS IN 2012 OR BEFORE)
Students can experience a class on the theatre stage as if they are professional ballerinas! These workshops are open to all students aged 6 or above (birthday in year 2012 or before). Students may invite 2 guests to watch the class at the audience seats (2 tickets included). Additional tickets $100.
