City Nature Challenge 2018

City Nature Challenge 2018

Hong Kong has a rich and amazing diversity of plants and animals. But how many of them have you seen?

Now is your chance to get involved in a citizen science BioBlitz that challenges you to record and identify as much wildlife as you can.

Initiated by the California Academy of Sciences and the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, the City Nature Challenge is an international effort for people to find and document wildlife in cities across the globe.

The premise is simple:
1. Find wildlife
2. Take a snap
3 Upload it via the iNaturalist app

This global competition runs from 27-30 April. WWF-Hong Kong is one of the co-organizers of City Nature Challenge 2018. Over the course of four days, you can discover the amazing range of species the city has to offer with eco-guided visits at Hong Kong Park, or centres at Mai Po, Hoi Ha Wan and Island House, which have some of the widest range of biodiversity in Hong Kong.

Date: 28 April 2018 (Saturday) (All venues)/ 29 April 2018 (Sunday) (Mai Po ONLY)
