Discover the history of paper hands on. You will get a brief introduction to traditional paper fibers. Then make paper from cotton, denim, silk, and rice. The properties of this paper build on formulas rag paper master artists used for many centuries.
You can first master the skills of papermaking, with 30% cotton and silk blend and up cycled packaging. Then you will use a traditional cotton material, blending silk and denim, for an 80% textile content. Reproduce the rich textile content of fine French drawing paper, by upcycling. 100% rag cotton paper is durable, textured for drawing, and soft. We will modify the paper bath as we go, adding blue denim, lavender flower, and more, for many shades of blue.
Then... Add imagination! Decorate your paper with velvet, chiffon, and paper. Perfect for letter writing, a note paper. Beautiful enough to frame.
