This summer, Discovery Bay brings you a series of exciting and fun activities to chill out! The first wave is “LIVE YOUNG SUMMERFEST” - a large-scale outdoor event put together by BOC Life “Live Young Rewards App” and a line-up of its Wellness Partners such as DECATHLON, PURE, KKday and Hung Fook Tong. The event will take place at Tai Pak Beach in Discovery Bay for a weekend in July, consisting of 4 main themed areas: “Chill Young”, “Eat Young”, “Move Young” and “Play Young”. Bring your family, friends, and loved ones to the event! The young and energetic actress Ms Yuki Law Yuk Yee will also be invited to perform her original songs For and challenge various physical activities in the event.
Next, is the first-ever beach festival organised by Yiu Wing Culture and Nextwave Yachting - “Hang Seng Bank 90th Anniversary Presents: The Nextwave Beach Music Festival". A strong lineup of more than 20 singers / music groups includes Jay Fung, Jeffrey Ngai, Eric Chou, Crowd Lu and other local and overseas pop singers, rock bands, electronic DJs and hip-hop groups will transform Tai Pak Beach into a summer carnival! There is also a large-scale water park area, which not only includes water slides but also various water battle toys to cool off the hot summer. Those prefer enjoying music quietly can consider renting kayaks to be embraced by the coastal scenery and music, or renting yachts exclusively provided by Nextwave Yachting for a luxurious experience.
The final wave is the "Skate Asia 2023", the world’s largest recreation skating competitions returning to Hong Kong after 22 years, will be held at the DB Ice Rink during 7 to 15 August. Skate Asia is sanctioned by Ice Skating Institute Asia (ISIAsia) – an Asian industry trade association encompassing owners and operators of ice skating facilities as a non-profit organisation, to promote the development of recreational ice skating sports in Asia and Southeast Asia regions. There will be more than 3,000 games and more than 1,400 local and Asian figure skaters and teams participating in the entire competition. Participating countries include China, Hong Kong (SAR), Macau (SAR), Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and more. Don't miss the opportunity to witness the graceful postures of figure skating and cheer for Hong Kong athletes!
Of course you can’t miss the summer sales redemption! From 7 July to 31 August, upon a same-day electronic spending of HK$600 or above at designated merchants in DB Plaza, D'Deck, and DB North Plaza, and follow @VisitDiscoveryBay on Facebook or Instagram, you can redeem a limited edition "Summer" themed shopping bag and an eternity pencil set.
