3 Christmas highlights

Highlight 1: Hollywood movie quality snowfield in Hong Kong

Alert! This Christmas, snow is falling down in Hong Kong and the location will be at D‧PARK! For those who wishes to spend Christmas holiday under the bright of snow, D‧PARK has invited top Hollywood’s visual effects specialists to create a lifelike snow scene that has appeared in the Harry Potter movie series and Hollywood blockbuster The Day After Tomorrow. Imported from UK, the snow materials do not contain oil and chemical composition. No worries for health-concerned parents as the artificial snow will naturally evaporate and is unharmful to health.

Highlight 2: Illuminating Aurora experience

If you are hoping to glimpse the magic of Aurora, you don’t need to go all the way to Northern Europe. D‧PARK brings an illuminating light show imitating Aurora to add a mysterious touch to the snow scene.

Highlight 3: Nordic Christmas treehouse and 6-meter gigantic Christmas tree

This Christmas, D‧PARK has invited Germany light artists Friedrich van Schoor and Tarek Mawad to bring an unusual visual experience to the Nordic Christmas treehouse. Nordic forest is dark and mysterious. It has inspired the artists to portray unique creatures by the interplay of lights and shadow. The installation invites you and your little one to experience the force of nature, as well as the tranquil life that is hard to find in city like Hong Kong. The artists make use of a special technique, Bioluminescence, which can project animated graphics inside the treehouse. By setting up a projector and computer on site, they were able to edit graphics in real time, changing the colors and shapes to fit the specifications. The result was a surreal display that combines technological and biological universes, highlighting the beauty of the surroundings.
