Ding Wei, National First Class Choreographer, instills his masterful vision into creating this unique rendition of the renowned Chinese folklore: his expressive choreography has enlivened one of the crown jewels of China’s intangible cultural heritage – the melodious brilliance of folk songs. This story has inspired many by a woman’s courage in following her will, and will continue to symbolize the Zhuang people’s longing for freedom and true love.
