Enjoy the spectacular on-course activities during the National Day Race Meeting at Sha Tin Racecourse on Monday, 1 October.
The Hong Kong Jockey Club has arranged a strong line-up of exciting racing action, top-class cultural performances, attractive National Day-themed souvenirs and delicious Chinese cuisine, to celebrate the holiday with racing fans. Tourists to Hong Kong will be offered free admission.
Parade Ring festivities
The day's festivities will begin in the Parade Ring with Cai Nan, a famous soprano from the China National Opera House. She will perform the Chinese National Anthem and other patriotic songs accompanied by the Hong Kong Police Band. Another highlight will be an amazing acrobatic performance with drums by the world-acclaimed Guangxi Acrobatics Troupe.
Our series of special events to mark National Day is something you won’t want to miss. The opening ceremony will begin in the Parade Ring at 12:05pm with delightful cultural and artistic performances. Famous soprano Cai Nan from China National Opera House will join the ceremony to lead the national anthem and sing her blessings to the nation, accompanied by the Hong Kong Police Band; while Shenzhen Fuyong Acrobatic Troupe will catch your eyes with their impressive performance inspired by Chinese traditional paper-cutting.
