Renowned for his highly virtuosic yet unpretentious style, German Pianist Martin Helmchen has collaborated with orchestras and conductors such as Berlin Philharmonic and Herbert Blomstedt, Vienna Philharmonic and Valery Gergiev, London Philharmonic Orchestra and Vladimir Jurowski, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Andris Nelsons and more.
In his début with Hong Kong Sinfonietta, he will be performing Beethoven's majestic Piano Concerto No 4. Principal Guest Conductor Christoph Poppen will also lead the orchestra in Mozart’s “Jupiter” Symphony and the pioneering Variations for Orchestra by Webern.
