Do you know about 5 lives are taken per day due to air pollution at roadside?
To understand the air quality of Hong Kong better, MakerBay and Clean Air Network collaborate to design and place low cost NO2 sensors in Hong Kong for data collection. Data collected will be used to inform citizens, public health practitioners as well as policy makers. We invite you to join this citizen science project, come to help build the low cost roadside pollution sensors and bring it to your living environment to gather data.
In this workshop, you will:
- Learn about the basic knowledge of roadside air pollution in Hong Kong
- Build a air quality sensor detecting NO2 concentration

- Age range: 10 years old or above
* Important note: at the end of the workshop, the air quality sensor will be donated to the Clean Air Network to collect data for the roadside air pollution citizen science project.
