Mulberry House is Hong Kong's premier Early Years Mandarin Immersion School.

They offer a vibrant and nurturing early childhood experience in a fully Mandarin Chinese speaking environment. Their class sizes are small, up to 7 children with 2 teachers, so that each child receives personal attention in class. Their programmes seamlessly integrate structured play with active learning, designed to give children the best possible start on the path to Mandarin fluency.

School Highlights

1. They experienced native teachers (80% with Masters degrees), who only speak Mandarin to the children. They firmly believe that children should learn Mandarin as a native would, not by cross-referencing their home language and translating. Learning in this way gives important context as to how and when words are used, enabling children to build up to a much higher level more quickly.

2. Their classes have a maximum of 7 children with 2 teachers. Children get ample personal attention in their classes so that they engage and learn actively in classrooms from both from peers and teachers.

3. Their curriculum is designed to show progress and for children to learn in a structured and well thought out way. Mulberry House, has developed an inquiry based curriculum, based on the UKs EYFS framework and Regio Emilia systems so that we can start your child on the path to Mandarin fluency and guide them correctly.

4. They provide especially curated home support materials for parents, to help give their children adequate exposure at home. This includes songs, videos, stories, audio books and cards.
