"Bauhinia Cup Dance Championships 2022" is taking place at the Sha Tin Town Hall in August 2022. This year the local competition has reached its 11th edition, with HKADC’s subsidy under the Matching Fund Scheme, dance lovers and organizations’ donation of trophies and cash prizes, and HKAPA being the collaborating partner for the first time.
The event is a territory-wide and international dance competition which encourages local and overseas choreographers, teachers and students to achieve higher levels of composition, interpretation and creativity. It provides a platform for Hong Kong dance artists to produce works with Hong Kong characteristics in the face of the challenge of preservation of traditional culture of Chinese dance and ever-increasing demand for creation.
