SonicInsights has been established as a leading provider of FAST training for the next generation of Hong Kong's electronic music producers and Djs since 2011.

Where many music schools focus on having students learn to play or perform music from other composers, SonicInsights is focused on establishing a mindset of pure creativity in musical composition from the moment the students arrive at the studio. The holistic aproach to teaching sees the students begin creating an original piece of music straight away and then take that piece to completion over the 10 hours of the course.

Over this time they learn to implement tried and tested, fun processes for idea creation. They learn to develop the seed of an idea into a fully fleshed out musical story, and finally a recording which they can take away and give to their friends, put up on the internet or even play in a DJ performance.

All courses are bespoke private tuition (1-2 per class) as this is means each class is tailored specifically to the individual students particular personality, goals, musical taste and current ability. In turn this ensures that the end result is the student leaves more inspired than when they first arrived, empowered with the full process to go forward and continue making music on their own.

Past students have gone on to sign music to top record labels within a short time of completing SonicInsights courses, and the importance placed on developing the creative mindset is something which serves them for a lifetime.

Electronic Music Production CORE: Ages 12 and up

Electronic Music Composition ADVANCED: Ages 15 and up
