Shun Hing Group 70th Anniversary Proudly Sponsors: Table for Six on stage
Six people. One meal. A million problems.
A hilarious dark comedy to sink your teeth into
“What makes a family?” That is the question at the heart of Table for Six on stage, a new stage adaptation of the eponymous film which follows the interactions and confrontations of three brothers and their girlfriends as they test each other’s boundaries at every turn. Set in modern-day Hong Kong, the story written by Sunny Chan and directed by Tony Wong is anchored by the Chinese dining tradition of eating together, and explores the intimacy and alienation of family ties.
Centred on the clashes between different personalities, lifestyles, values and beliefs within a mixed-up family, Table for Six on stage is at once a contemplation of familial love and misgivings, and a love letter to Hong Kong, the place we all call home.
