Summer Program AntiGravity® for Kids with Cindy


The Summer Program: AntiGravity® for Kids is designed for kids of 7 to 15 years.

 

No previous AntiGravity® experience is required, but prior students will be challenged in this mixed levels class! They will explore postures in the AntiGravity® hammock in a fun way and learn mindfulness and self-regulation strategies to help today’s teen develop both mentally and physically. AntiGravity® techniques will help with their flexibility and also increase the strength in their upper and lower body. This is a great class to experience zero compression and decompress the spine. They will learn all this whilst working on breathing techniques to learn how to relax and calm emotions. AntiGravity® is a fun class for them to experience going upside down and let go!

  • Date: 9 July to 13 August 2018 (6 Mondays) 
  • Time: 2:30-3:30pm for 10-15 year olds // 4-5pm for 7-9 year olds
  • Venue: The Yoga Room 3/F Studio (Limited to 10 kids only in each class) 
  • Price: $1080 for the whole program of 6 classes; $220 per drop-in class

Things to note before attending:

  • Please wear tops with sleeves to protect your armpits.
  • Please do listen to your body, only go as far as comfortable.
  • Please do tell the teacher if there is a blood pressure problem or vertigo.
  • Please wear full-length leggings or pants.
  • Please wipe sweat onto towels NOT the hammock.
  • Please do not attempt any inverted or flying poses without the teacher’s permission or guidance.
  • Please do not wear any jewellery during practice, including watches, rings, bracelets, and necklace.
  • Please do not eat at least an hour before class.

How to get there?

To get to The Yoga Room from Sheung Wan MTR: 
Exit A2
Turn right out of the exit and walk to Cleverly Street.

Turn left onto Cleverly Street and walk to Jervois Street.
Building will be on your left hand side on the corner of Jervois and Cleverly before a staircase to Queen’s Road West.
Estimated time: 5 minutes

To get to The Yoga Room from Central/Soho:
Walk west on Queen’s Road.
Pass by Hollywood Terrace apartment complex and Cafe O.
There will be a McDonald’s across the street.
The studio is just down the stairs past the McDonald’s on the right hand side.
Estimated time: 10-15 minutes

To get to The Yoga Room from Shun Tak/ Ferry Piers:
Cross over from the north side over Connaught Road to the south side at the West side of the Shun Tak center (by the Western Market).
At the Western Market, walk down past the market and cross over to the left and turn left onto Bonham Strand.
Turn right onto Cleverly Street.
Walk until you reach Jervois Street and building will be on your left hand side on the corner of Jervois and Cleverly before a staircase to Queen’s Road West.
