Babies Con Brio is one of the first inclusive music groups in Singapore that uses live music, led by Jacqueline Chow, Registered Music Therapist
It welcomes newborn babies to two-year-olds of all abilities. Babies Con Brio follows a gentle, nurturing, child-led and multi-modal framework that focuses on the foundations of loving relationships between parents and child.
Bring home musical strategies that support parent-child bonding, social-emotional, language, cognitive, motor and musical development of your child. These songs and rhymes will stay with you and your family for years and generations. High-quality and various child-proof musical instruments and movement props will be used throughout the sessions. Through making music with your little ones, you will also learn to read your babies’ signs and ways to support their development and co-regulate them musically. The last 15 minutes of the session will be an opportunity for you to meet other families and make new friends.
Some songs that are used during the sssions are updated on www.conbriotherapy.com/blog weekly with lyrics, videos and suggestions on how you can use them to engage your baby at home.
Jacqueline Chow, founder of Con Brio Music Therapy (conbriotherapy.com), graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Music Therapy) degree with Class I Honours. She is one of the 28 Registered Music Therapists currently residing in Singapore, an adjunct lecturer of Early Childhood music (NIEC), certified Music Rhapsody teacher, with experience working with children of all abilities in children’s hospitals from Australia, early intervention, and special education settings in Hong Kong and Singapore.
