Artists week introduces famous American artists Jackson Pollock and Georgia O’Keeffe, their unique styles and their range of works. They serve as sources of inspiration for our budding artists who are brimming with creativity and individuality, ready to create unique pieces which tell their own stories, to exhibit in their own home. In the sessions, children will be introduced the processes of how Jackson Pollock and Georgia O’ Keeffe create their famous paintings and observe movements, materials and inspiration necessary for creating large paintings like those that they have created.

- See art through art elements (line, colour, shape, texture, form, space),
- Experiment with different ways of making art,
- Undertake creative explorations and investigation of basic materials such as paper, natural materials and more, and

Art Facilitator
Koh Hui Hua is B2T’s resident artist and she will be working with the children during Artists Week. She is trained in art therapy, a form of expressive art making that focusses primarily on the individual and the stories behind the process and product of art making. She combines her love for expressive art making with her 15 years of experience in early childhood education to create a unique visual art programme in Between Two Trees. The B2T Visual Arts programme focusses on the individual journey as the cornerstone, while introducing different methods, styles and techniques of art making to young children. This, she finds, is the essential way for each child to remain the artist he or she is, while being guided and encouraged in their journey of art making.
Bring it Home!
Children will take home their self-created visual journal and drawings and paintings. The depth and completion of the visual art products are dependent on the child’s developmental stage and the days of participation in this programme.
You may choose between Session I (8:30 am – 12:00 pm) and Session II (2:00 pm – 5:30 pm). Please note, that on Saturday only Session I is available.
