At the heart of this special getaway is the Siena FC Summer Camp 2025, a dynamic and inclusive program designed for young football lovers. Open to boys born between 2010 and 2018 — regardless of club affiliation — and girls born between 2013 and 2018, the camp is perfect for anyone who enjoys being active, wants to try football, or simply loves the game and is excited to meet new friends.

Throughout the week, children will enjoy a blend of fun, skill-building, and teamwork, all within a safe and supportive environment. The focus is on individual development, with training sessions tailored to both the age and experience level of each participant. Groups are formed as closely by age as possible, and sessions will emphasize key football skills like passing, dribbling, shooting, ball control, and game situations — all based on the proven football principles of Siena FC.

But it’s not all about football — the program also includes general motor coordination activities to support physical development and all-around athleticism. With a team of qualified, experienced instructors who specialize in working with young athletes, your child will be in the best of hands while having the time of their life.

Once the morning camp ends, the rest of the day is yours to explore the timeless beauty of Siena. With far fewer tourists than cities like Florence, Siena offers an authentic and peaceful Italian experience. Its UNESCO-listed historic center has remained virtually unchanged since the 14th century — a maze of winding alleys, warm brick facades, and hidden piazzas that invite you to slow down and savor every moment.

Start by relaxing in Piazza del Campo, the heart of Siena and one of Europe’s most stunning medieval squares. Take a seat at a shaded café, sip a cappuccino, and watch the rhythm of daily life - from strolling locals to street performers - all against the backdrop of the majestic Palazzo Pubblico and the soaring Torre del Mangia.

If you’re a lover of art and history, step inside the Civic Museum, housed within the Palazzo Pubblico, to admire masterpieces like Lorenzetti’s “Effects of Good and Bad Government” and Martini’s Maestà - frescoes that still speak to Siena’s rich civic identity.

Don’t miss the Duomo di Siena, a marvel of Gothic architecture with its intricate marble facade, breathtaking mosaics, and the Piccolomini Library's vibrant frescoes. For a quieter moment, visit the Sanctuary of Santa Caterina, dedicated to Siena’s patron saint and an important pilgrimage site.

Whether you're wandering Siena's cobbled streets, sharing a gelato with your child, or watching their proud smile after a day at camp, this double-holiday in Siena is about connecting as a family while giving each member space to grow, explore, and enjoy!

While your child is fully immersed in their football training, building skills, and making new friendships, it’s the perfect opportunity for you to enjoy your own adventure. With your mornings free, get ready for a broader Tuscan experience! Choose from an array of half-day tours from Siena, giving you just the right amount of time to explore without missing out on family moments later in the day.

From Siena, a treasure trove of experiences awaits just beyond the city walls:

  • Discover San Gimignano, famous for its medieval towers and artisan gelato.
  • Wander the ancient streets of Volterra, rich in Etruscan history and dramatic hilltop views.
  • Step into legend at the Abbey of San Galgano, where the real-life "sword in the stone" still stands.

You also can:

  • Sip your way through the Chianti wine region, visiting picturesque vineyards and sampling world-class wines.
  • Join a Tuscan cooking class, where local chefs share secrets of regional dishes you can recreate at home.
  • Hop on a Vespa tour through the rolling countryside for a bit of fun and freedom on two wheels.
  • Embark on a guided walking tour of Siena’s historic center, uncovering its medieval charm and hidden corners.
  • Or float above the hills on a hot air balloon ride, soaking in breathtaking views of the Tuscan landscape.

Siena is a feast for the senses, and its cuisine is a delicious journey through Tuscany’s rich culinary heritage. Start with platters of local cured meats and cheeses - thinly sliced capocollo, aromatic finocchiona (a fennel-spiced salami), and the buttery, nutty flavors of Pecorino di Pienza, a sheep’s milk cheese aged to perfection. These are perfect for pairing with a glass of Chianti and some crusty Tuscan bread!

For a warm, satisfying meal, try pici pasta with wild boar ragù, a rustic classic full of bold, gamey flavor and rich tomato sauce. Vegetarians will delight in gnudi, delicate ricotta and spinach dumplings dressed simply in butter and sage, or enjoy pici cacio e pepe, a minimalist pasta bursting with flavor from just cheese and pepper. And don’t miss a taste of ribollita, a hearty Tuscan vegetable and bread soup that's been "reboiled" for extra depth - simple, nourishing, and filled with local goodness.

Sweet lovers are in for a treat. Siena’s pastry shops are famous for age-old desserts like panforte, a dense, spiced fruitcake packed with nuts and candied fruit - ideal with an espresso. Don’t miss cavallucci, soft biscuits with walnuts and anise, and ricciarelli, elegant almond cookies with a soft, marzipan-like center and a dusting of powdered sugar. These confections are not just delicious but steeped in local tradition, often wrapped beautifully and perfect to take home!

If you're thinking of souvenirs, stock up on artisanal dried pasta, a wedge of Pecorino, a bottle of extra virgin olive oil, and a few vacuum-packed meats or sweets - all of which travel well and make for thoughtful, authentic gifts. Add a bottle of Chianti or Brunello di Montalcino wine, and you'll be bringing a true taste of Tuscany back to your kitchen.
