What Happened: Poems 1997-2017

 

This Selected Poems surveys Alvin Pang's oeuvre over the past two decades, and includes significant new, previously unpublished material. Singapore's 2005 Young Artist of the Year for Literature, Alvin Pang is active internationally as a poet, writer, editor, and translator. He has authored over a dozen books, including several anthologies of Singaporean literature. His poetry has been published worldwide in more than 20 languages.

About the author:

Alvin Pang is a poet, writer, editor, anthologist and translator. He has authored over a dozen books, including several anthologies of Singaporean literature. Active internationally as a literary practitioner, curator, speaker and advisor, he is listed in the Oxford Companion to Modern Poetry in English (2nd Edition, 2013). His writing has been published worldwide in more than twenty languages, including Croatian, Macedonian, Slovene and Swedish. A Fellow of the 2002 Iowa International Writing Program and a board member of the International Poetry Studies Institute in Canberra, he also directs The Literary Centre Singapore, a non-profit inter-cultural initiative. In 2005, he was named Singapore’s Young Artist of the Year for Literature. He received the Singapore Youth Award for Arts and Culture in 2007 and the JCCI Award for Education in 2008.
