Mid Autumn Festival
- 1 – 4 PM
Mid-Autumn Festival is an important Chinese festival. It is an occasion for outdoor reunions among friends and relatives to eat mooncakes and appreciate the full moon, a symbolism of harmony and unity.
In this programme, children learn the mythological stories of “Chang Er” and “Hou Yi the Archer” and make their own clay mooncakes and traditional Chinese lanterns. They will also re-enact as Hou Yi, shooting suns represented by balloons.
