What is COMING SOON to Chinatown Heritage Centre?
We are pleased to announce that the Teck Whye Young Authors Book Launch is happening on 30 June 2018 3pm at the Chinatown Heritage Centre.
Teck Whye Primary School will be launching 3 new exciting books written by their students under the Young Authors Programme.
Based on the theme of Chinese immigrants, the 3 stories are inspired by Chinatown’s rich heritage that the young authors experienced when they visited the Chinatown Heritage Centre, Tong Heng traditional pastry shop and tea merchant Pek Sin Choon.
The Chinatown heritage book series by Teck Whye Primary School will feature the following titles:
1) Miao Miao calls Chinatown Home
2) Kaya + Egg + Toast = ?
3) Ching Her and the Mysterious Tea
At the Book Launch on 30 June 2018, a delightful afternoon awaits you. The young authors will be presenting their stories through interactive storytelling sessions & fun quizzes with prizes to be won. This will be followed by a tea reception with Tong Heng pastry sampling, Pek Sin Choon tea tasting and more!
This is a perfect weekend activity for families with children below 12 years old!
