Understanding Chineseness in Chinese Heritage Centre
Chinese Heritage Centre is a cultural center of the Chinese community and a research institute, located in the territory of the Nanyang Technological University. Its exposition tells about Chinese identity and help to understand what unites all Chinese communities around the world. The building (former university administrative building) is one of Singapore's architectural monuments of national importance.
What does it mean to be Chinese? How do Chinese communities live in the modern world? Today the exhibitions of the centre are one of the most important attractions for all the visitors willing to find answers to these questions.
The centre is the only research institute located outside China, which specializes in the studies of Overseas Chinese.
